Albert Ferlay serving set in colorful tree trunk design| Vallauris France 1950 – SOLD

Fantastic modernist Albert Ferlay serving set, consisting of 2 pitchers and 6 cups made in Vallauris somewhere between 1950 and 1960.

This is a really special find!
This lemonade service with radiant glaze is a feast for the eyes! The design is unique in terms of both naturalistic design and use of color. The playfulness is achieved both by the fairytale tree trunk design and by the cheerful colors. Of course you can also use this Albert Ferlay serving set to serve and drink wine or other drinks instead of lemonade ;-).

This Albert Ferlay serving set consists of two jugs what makes this set unique! One is shaped more like a classic water jug. The other is more reminiscent of the typical square shape of the old French Pastis and Pernod jugs. But this set is also very usable to serve delicious syrup with water.

Dimensions:
Large pitcher 29,5 cm high, 19 cm wide, 13 cm deep
Square pitcher 15 cm high, 16 cm wide, 14 cm deep
Cup 13 cm high, 9 cm wide

There is 1 small chip off the spout of the largest jug, but otherwise this set is in perfect condition, certainly given its age.
