Delphin Massier pheasant vase – Vallauris – Art Nouveau – 1880
This Delphin Massier pheasant vase is a real beauty! It is naturalistically modelled as a pheasant in front of a hollow tree-stump, and this makes it a typical Art Nouveau ceramic object. It is handmade by Delphin Massier, one of the members of the famous ceramic Massier dynasty from the 19th century in Vallauris.
For it’s age it is in good condition. It has a little chip in the foot and at the end of the tail.
