French wicker buttocks basket with leather lids and brass nails. France 1960 – 1970 – SOLD

This is definitely a really charming French wicker buttocks basket, also known as buttock egg baskets. The wickerwork is very tight and beautifully made and it is also extra decorative because of the tough covers of thick leather trimmed with copper nails.
It was probably made in the 60s or 70s of the last century.

You can use it for many purposes and is always decorative. For example in the kitchen in the windowsill to store your eggs, but what about in the hall on a cupboard: very decorative and handy as a storage place for the keys.

This buttocks basket is in Really Good condition! It will be shipped well protected.
