Art Deco black and blue-green small ceramic ‘tulip’ vase – Belgium 1935 SOLD

Beautiful black glazed ceramic vase, from the Thulin pottery factory in Belgium. The vase has the typical “AIRAIN” decoration made of blue – green glaze.

With the three spouts, the design is somewhat like the Delft tulip vases that were first made in the 17th century, but then shaped in a more modern Art Deco style.

This vase is from 1935. It is engraved on the bottom with ‘Made in Belgium’ and the number 217.
The pottery factory in Thulin was in existence from 1887 to 1973.
