French antique earthenware pitcher or jug | Early 20th century SOLD

This French antique earthenware pitcher, is probably made in early 20th century, and was to be used to store milk or water. It has a beautiful patina with earth tones ranging from light brown to ocher and warm orange. The pitcher is glazed inside and out. Only the bottom is unglazed. The pitcher has an original crack that probably occurred during the baking process (zoom photo).

Please note! The pitcher has become porous over the years and is therefore no longer waterproof.

A very rustic farmhouse style piece, that will be an eye catcher in you house!

Sorry this item is SOLD
