Small rustic French redware jug, 19th century SOLD

A beautiful rustic French redware jug from the 19th century.

This charming olive oil or wine jug has a beautiful old earthenware patina from years of use and pleasure. It is a typical European red ware jug, because of the warm mix of terracotta red and ash black color that was created by the baking proces.

It is a decorative piece, which we found with two similar jugs (one a bit bigger and one large), also available in our shop here. Together they form a unique lifestyle object that completes your interior!

This is a very nice old piece with some beautiful imperfections, which gives it ‘charm and character’ and gives a good indication of the age. It is a charming small jug. We will ship the jug well protected in a double box.
