Big antique French redware Jug or pitcher, 19th century – SOLD

This beautiful antique French redware jug has a great old earthenware patina. For more than hundred years it is well used as a water or olive oil jug. It has the warm mix of terracotta red and ash black color and is not glazed, so it’s a typical European red ware jug.

We found this decorative piece together with two more smaller redware jugs. You can find these here in our shop. Together they form a unique lifestyle object that completes your interior!

This is a very nice old piece with some beautiful imperfections, which gives it ‘charm and character’ and gives a good indication of the age. It is a sturdy and heavy jug. We will ship the jug well protected in a double box.
